Butt weld 3D & 5D bends is a kind of  butt weld fittings. Pipe bends can be manufactured based on custom radius requirements provided by customers such as 3D, 5D, 6D, 10D, 15D or any other custom radius. Elbows are generally used, when the radius required is 1D, 1.5D or 2D, it is 90 elbow LR or SR.

The 3D&5D bends is very similar with elbow. They have same diameter range, wall thickness, raw material and end form. What is the difference between them? It is the radius.  The steel elbow have long radius(R=1.5D) or short radius(R=1D) type. While bends radius is larger, such as 3D, 4D, 5D, 6D, 7D, 8D, 9D and 10D.

Weight Calculation Formula of 5D Bend

W=0.0387 * S( D – S ) * 5* D/ 1000

W = Weight (kg/piece).

S = Thickness Schedule.

D = Nominal Diameter.

Package for bends:

Bundle into pallets, then use strapping and plastic film for reinforcement.

For size over 24" 5D bends, put into container without pallet.

Before the shipment eathu will submit you the packing list.
